The Saudi Pro League has not given up on signing Liverpool superstar Mohamed Salah, with sources confirming to Africasoccer that their offer for the Egyptian forward remains on the table.

Salah, one of the most coveted players in the Middle East football market, has long been admired by Saudi clubs. He has previously hinted at an interest in playing in the region before the end of his career.

Although a transfer did not materialise last summer, Salah went on to sign a historic contract extension with Liverpool, becoming the highest-paid player in the club’s history.

However, according to TBR Football’s chief correspondent Graeme Bailey, a move in 2026 is seen as a realistic possibility. The reported deal would put Salah on the same financial level as Cristiano Ronaldo at Al-Nassr, with a proposed salary of around £150 million per year.

With Saudi Arabia’s ambition to attract global superstars still in full force, all eyes will be on Salah’s next move as he approaches the final stages of his Liverpool contract.

As it stands, Salah hopes to get back to his best form to bring Liverpool out of their current difficult run, especially in the English Premier League.
