An unnamed club form Saudi Arabia is tempting Spanish international of Equatorial Guinea and Morocco descent Lamine Yamal a bumper offer to secure his services in the upcoming transfer window.
Yamal’s contract at Barcelona expires in 2026 and has yet to sign a new deal due to age issues. His agent Jorge Mendes is said to have informed Barcelona about a significant financial offer from Saudi Arabia.
Meanwhile, Yamal and his entourage are not considering a move to Saudi Arabia. For him, continuing his development in a top European club is more important, and he sees a chance to make history at Barcelona, just as Lionel Messi did.
Barcelona is well aware of the player’s potential and is not willing to risk his departure. The club is already working on extending his current contract, which runs until 2026.
This summer, when the player turns 18, Barcelona plans to offer him a new long-term contract until 2030, including a hefty release clause that could exceed 1 billion euros.
Yamal has made 37 appearances for Barcelona, scoring 12 goals and providing 17 assists across competition.
He is part of the Spain squad for the upcoming international break.
