Saudi Pro League club Al-Ahly is reportedly eyeing a summer move for 20-year-old Moroccan right-winger Chamseddine Talbi.
According to Saudi newspaper Asharq Al-Awsat, Talbi caught the attention of Al-Ahly’s German head coach Matthias Jaissle after being recommended by a player agent.
The report suggests the club is considering registering him under the U-21 player category, which includes those born in 2004 or later, should a deal be finalised.
If signed, Talbi would face tough competition from experienced Algerian international Riyad Mahrez, who currently occupies the same position.
However, his addition could inject youthful energy and depth into the squad ahead of the new season.
Talbi had an impressive campaign last season, featuring in 44 matches, scoring 7 goals, and providing 5 assists in a total of 2,046 minutes on the pitch.
