Saudi Pro League outfit, Al Ettifaq are on the brink of securing the services of Italy international of Ghanaian descent Mario Balotelli ahead of the winter window.
Balotelli, who is currently unattached has been a subject of transfer rumours, with Al Ettifaq emerging as the latest club to express interest in the forward.
As per sources, the Saudi Arabia outfit are ready to offer Balotelli a contract until 2028 with highly favorable personal terms. The possibility of Balotelli’s move to Al Ettifaq is extremely high, as he remains unattached after Genoa departure in the summer.
During his stint with Genoa, Mario made 16 appearances but failed to register a single goal or assist.
The 35-year-old, who was born in Palermo has had spells with several top clubs in Europe. He has represented Inter Milan, Manchester City, AC Milan, Liverpool, Nice and Marseille, as well as spells with Brescia, Monza, Swiss side FC Sion and Turkish outfit Adana Demirspor, before his latest stint at Genoa and subsequent return to free-agent status.
A right-footed centre-forward with Italian and Ghanaian nationality, he has played in Serie A, the Premier League, Ligue 1, the Super Lig and the Swiss Super League.
