Saudi Arabia top-flight side Al Hilal are prepared to sever ties with Senegal captain Kalidou Koulibaly ahead of the January transfer window.
The 33-year-old joined Al Hilal from Premier League outfit in June 2023, signing a three-year contract with the club.
Despite having existing contract, Al Hilal have decided to part ways with the former Napoli stalwart defender.
Al Hilal must sacrifice one foreign player to get Brazilian Neymar Junior registered for the Asian Champions League second round.
However, the Saudi giants have decided to sever ties with the Senegal top defender to make room for the former Barcelona star.
The former Chelsea will now have to negotiate for a new club as his time with Al Hilal nears an end.
He has made 18 appearances across competitons for the club this season, scoring one goal in the process.
Koulibaly has featured for a host of top clubs in his football career, including Chelsea and Napoli.
