Sassuolo eye AC Milan’s Italy-Guinea midfielder Alphadjo Cisse

Alphadjo Cisse, the Italy-Guinea attacking midfielder at AC Milan, has been linked with a move to Serie A rivals Sassuolo.

The 19-year-old returned to Milan after spending the second half of the 2025-26 season on loan at Catanzaro, where he made 22 Serie B appearances and scored six goals, with one assist. He also made three Serie A appearances for Milan, playing 14 minutes in total.

Cisse joined Milan from Hellas Verona on 2 February 2026 in a deal worth €8m and was immediately sent to Catanzaro on loan. His return to San Siro has now been followed by reported interest from Sassuolo, although there is no indication that an agreement has been reached.

The attacking midfielder’s market value is listed at €7m, while his Milan contract runs until 30 June 2030. That long-term commitment means any move would require Milan to decide whether to retain Cisse or consider a transfer arrangement with Sassuolo.

Born in Treviso, Cisse developed through Hellas Verona’s youth system before making the move to Milan. He has recorded 21 goals in 64 Primavera 1 appearances and six goals in 22 Serie B matches, alongside his limited senior involvement in Serie A and the Italian Cup.
