Senegal’s Bara Sapoko Ndiaye set for Bayern Munich first-team promotion

Bayern Munich are preparing to promote Senegalese midfielder Bara Sapoko Ndiaye to their first-team squad after moving closer to completing his permanent transfer from Gambinos Stars Africa.

The Bundesliga champions view the 18-year-old as part of their plans for next season, with reports indicating he could help fill the midfield vacancy expected to be left by Leon Goretzka’s departure.

According to German magazine Kicker, Bayern intend to integrate Ndiaye into the senior squad immediately rather than continue his development with the club’s youth teams.

Permanent move nearing completion

Sporting director Christoph Freund has confirmed that only minor details remain before the transfer is finalised.

“A few final details still need to be clarified, but I expect him to start the season with us. Bara will undergo performance tests next Monday and then join the training camp at Tegernsee.”

Ndiaye initially joined Bayern on loan in January and impressed enough to convince the German giants to pursue a permanent deal.

Gradual pathway into the first team

Despite being sidelined for part of his loan spell by a capsule injury, the Senegalese youngster made four Bundesliga appearances, including two starts.

Bayern are expected to ease Ndiaye into the first team, with the midfielder set to develop alongside established options Joshua Kimmich, Aleksandar Pavlovic and Tom Bischof as he gains experience at the highest level.

Investment in African talent

Kicker reports that Bayern will pay a transfer fee of well below €5 million to secure Ndiaye’s services permanently.

The report also suggests the club’s decision to sell Noel Aseko to Eintracht Frankfurt is linked to their commitment to signing the Senegalese midfielder.
