AS ROMA EYE SAPHIR TAÏDER TO BOLSTER MIDFIELD
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Saphir Taïder has attracted interest from AS Roma. The Italian daily reports that the Franco-Algerian midfielder’s name came up during a recent meeting between officials from Inter Milan and Roma.
Roma coach Rudi Garcia, keen on reinforcing his midfield options before the close of the transfer window, has reportedly identified Taïder as a serious target. The 23-year-old, who has struggled to secure a consistent role at Inter, could be allowed to leave.
A source close to the player has confirmed that Taïder is expected to sign with a new club before the window shuts — whether that’s Roma or another suitor remains to be seen.
