Santos and Eindhoven approve Egypt Under-15 call-ups for North Africa qualifiers

Santos and Eindhoven have given permission for two young players to join Egypt’s Under-15 squad ahead of the North Africa tournament, the Egyptian Football Association has announced.

The Egypt team, made up of players born in 2010, are preparing for the regional competition, which serves as a qualifying tournament for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations Under-17.

Santos have approved the inclusion of Jihad Ayman, a forward with their Under-16 side, in the squad selected by Egypt head coach Abdel Sattar Sabry, the Egyptian Football Association said on its official website.

Eindhoven have also agreed to release Reda Babker, who plays for the club’s Under-17 team. Babker can operate in midfield or at left-back and will join the Egypt squad for the tournament.

The federation said both call-ups followed the work of its Player Discovery Committee, established by federation technical director Shawky Gharib. The committee is responsible for identifying Egyptian talent with dual nationality and inviting players to represent Egypt’s national teams at different age levels.
