Sanna Jobe: Gambian left-back joins Pohronie on free transfer from Podbrezova

Gambian defender Sanna Jobe has joined Slovak side Pohronie on a free transfer from top-flight club Podbrezova.

The 20-year-old left-back returns to the II. Liga outfit after spending last season on loan there from Podbrezova, with the move now made permanent ahead of the new campaign.

Jobe first arrived in Slovak football in February 2025 when he moved from BST Galaxy FC to Podbrezova. Later that year he dropped down a division to join Pohronie on loan, seeking regular senior minutes.

That spell proved significant for his development. Jobe featured heavily in the II. Liga, making 29 league appearances and contributing one goal and two assists, while also adding two outings in the Slovnaft Cup. He was trusted in higher-pressure environments too, playing in the Nike Liga championship group for Podbrezova and appearing in the top flight.

Pohronie have now moved to secure him without a fee after his loan at the club formally ended in June 2026 and he returned to Podbrezova. His current market value is listed at €100,000, underlining his growing status after a full season of regular football.

Born on 11 December 2005, Jobe strengthens Pohronie’s options on the left side of defence as they prepare for the new II. Liga season.

The deal confirms Jobe’s permanent switch to Pohronie after his previous loan spell at the club.
