The Disciplinary Commission of the French Football Federation (FFF) imposed a severe sanction on Yann M’Vila and his teammates for going out at night during a gathering of the French junior team in Le Havre. Yann M’Vila received a ban from any national team selection until June 2014. His teammates, Wissam Ben Yedder, Antoine Griezmann, Chris Mavinga, and Mbaye Niang, were suspended from national team selection from November 12, 2012, until December 31, 2013. The sanctions were regarded as heavy by many, and opinions may vary on whether they were too exaggerated or not.
