SAMUEL UMTITI the French-Cameroonian defender from Olympique Lyonnais, could be on the move next season. The talented center-back has caught the attention of several Ligue 1 clubs, but he is also being closely monitored by teams outside France, including Napoli in Italy.
Umtiti’s agent, Frédéric Guerra, recently discussed the possibility of a summer transfer and confirmed that he has had discussions with Riccardo Bigon, Napoli’s sporting director. Guerra mentioned that Umtiti is an important player who is continuously improving, and that he would be open to joining Napoli if the Italian club made an official request.
Currently under contract with Lyon until 2017, Umtiti’s future appears to be in the balance, with both domestic and international clubs interested in securing his services.
