Samuel Moutoussamy has avoided a serious injury after being forced off shortly after scoring in the Greek Cup.
The Democratic Republic of the Congo midfielder and captain had raised concerns when he came off just moments after finding the net, prompting fears that he or his club could be facing a significant setback.
However, examinations and further reports have provided complete reassurance. Moutoussamy suffered only a minor blow to the face and has no serious injury.
The news comes as a major relief with important fixtures involving the national team approaching. It also completed an excellent evening on the pitch, as his side secured a 3-1 away victory at Volos.
That result confirmed their deserved qualification for the next stage of the Greek Cup.
