Samuel Eto’o has made shocking revelations, accusing the Cameroonian Football Federation (Fécafoot) of incompetence and corruption. The legendary footballer didn’t hold back, criticizing officials for mismanaging the funds generated by players and enriching themselves at the expense of the team.
Eto’o stated, “There are certain gentlemen who want to continue to manage the money that we players generate to travel first class, build very beautiful houses, drive in beautiful cars with the sweat of our brows.” He called for the removal of those individuals who prioritize personal gain over the well-being and success of the national team.
Expressing concern for his safety, Eto’o revealed, “I have been threatened with death several times,” and mentioned having personal protection day and night. Despite the strong accusations, Fécafoot’s communications manager, Junior Bynyam, responded by stating that there was nothing concrete in Eto’o’s claims, emphasizing the absence of specific details regarding figures, locations, or names related to the alleged death threats.
