A report from Le Parisien has revealed that Samuel Eto’o, the prominent figure in African football, has accepted the role of godfather for the Sporting Club de Paris. The Chelsea striker, who recently qualified for the 3rd round of the 2014 World Cup qualifiers in the Africa zone with Cameroon, agreed to take on this role at the request of his former sports coordinator, Alexandre Ribeiro, who now sponsors the club. It is noted that Samuel Eto’o is not expected to invest financially in SC Paris.
