Samson Iyede leaves Irtysh as Nigerian striker becomes unattached

Nigerian centre-forward Samson Iyede has left Kazakhstan Premier Liga side Irtysh and is now without a club following the completion of his departure on 9 August 2026.

The 28-year-old’s change of status brings his time with Irtysh to an end and leaves the experienced attacker available after his most recent spell in Kazakhstan. Iyede joined the club before becoming unattached, with no transfer fee attached to the move.

Iyede was born in Orogun, Nigeria, and stands 1.81m tall. He is a right-footed forward whose primary role is through the centre of the attack, offering a clearly defined profile as a striker rather than a wide player or midfielder.

His football background also includes a period with FC Midtjylland’s under-19 side in Denmark. Iyede won the Danish Youth Championship with the club in 2016, marking the only achievement recorded in his playing history.

The forward now enters the next stage of his career as an unattached player. His departure from Irtysh is the latest confirmed change in his club status, with the move recorded on 9 August and his status updated the following day.
