Djamel Mesbah Officially Presented at Sampdoria
New Sampdoria signing Djamel Mesbah was officially introduced to the fans and media this Friday, shortly after the start of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers in Morocco. The Algerian international becomes the second Algerian, after Ahmed Bouzine, to represent the Italian club.
Approaching his 30th birthday in October, Mesbah expressed confidence that his experience will be valuable for Sampdoria:
“I think I’ve matured a bit, and I hope I can use my experience to help the team.”
He also emphasized the club’s ambitions:
“When you are a team like Sampdoria, you have to aim high, especially since the squad was strengthened during the off-season.”
