Ivorian talent Salomon Kourouma nears first professional deal at Servette FC
Servette FC are preparing to hand 15-year-old Ivorian prospect Salomon Kourouma his first professional contract after an impressive campaign with the club’s youth sides in Switzerland.
According to 4-4-2.ch, the Geneva-based club are eager to secure the future of the highly-rated youngster, who has continued to attract attention with his performances this season.
Kourouma has scored seven goals across Servette’s youth teams, with his pace and attacking qualities making him one of the standout young players at the club.
The teenager’s rapid progress has not gone unnoticed beyond Switzerland. The same source reports that German side RB Leipzig have already made inquiries about the player in recent months as interest around him continues to grow.
Several Italian clubs are also believed to be monitoring the situation closely. Modena FC, US Sassuolo and Parma Calcio 1913 have reportedly shown interest in the young forward, who is regarded as one of the promising emerging talents in Servette’s academy structure.
Kourouma’s development has also drawn the attention of the Ivorian Football Federation. According to 4-4-2.ch, the federation has already made contact with the player as they look to keep track of his international future.
Born in Switzerland, Kourouma is eligible to represent both Switzerland and Ivory Coast at international level. His eligibility for the West African nation could become an important subject in the coming years if his development continues on its current trajectory.
Servette’s decision to move quickly with a professional contract underlines the club’s confidence in the teenager’s potential and their determination to fend off growing competition from clubs across Europe.
At just 15 years old, Kourouma is already building a reputation as one of the exciting young prospects emerging from Swiss football, with interest from Germany and Italy highlighting the impact he has made during the current season.
