Salomon Kalou is setting ambitious goals for himself this season. The Ivorian striker, who plays for Lille, expressed his aspirations in an interview with L’Equipe. Kalou aims to compete with the leading goal-scorers in Ligue 1, including Cavani, Falcao, and Ibrahimovic.
He stated, “I want to show that I can excel in the center-forward position and set myself goals: why not finish as the top scorer in the championship? This type of challenge could make me become a great attacker, given the level of competition in France. I already hope to exceed 20 goals. This could give us a place in the European Cup, our priority objective.”
Kalou, who had a challenging start at LOSC, is now enjoying his time with the Mastiffs. As Lille faces Nice on the 5th day of Ligue 1, Kalou is determined to make a significant impact.
