Former Richards Bay FC goalkeeper Salim Magoola has joined new Premier Soccer League club Durban City FC on a free transfer, months after leaving the Natal Rich Boyz.
The Ugandan international spent four seasons with Richards Bay after arriving from Pretoria Callies in 2022. Durban City confirmed the move on social media, saying: “Durban City FC is pleased to announce the signing of Ugandan international goalkeeper, Salim Magoola.”
Magoola’s departure from the Jomo Biyela-owned club came after an extended period out of the starting team, with Ian Otieno becoming Richards Bay’s preferred goalkeeper.
The goalkeeper made 85 appearances for Richards Bay during his time at the club. He conceded 80 goals and kept 35 clean sheets.
