Salem Bouajila: Tunisian-Finnish Goztepe forward linked with Ujpest FC move
Salem Bouajila, the Tunisian-Finnish centre-forward currently at Turkish Super Lig side Goztepe, is being linked with a move to Hungarian top-flight club Ujpest FC in the NB I. as the Budapest outfit explore attacking options for the new season.
The 18-year-old, who was born in Helsinki and stands at 1.95m, is under contract with Goztepe until 30 June 2030, meaning any deal would require the Hungarians to negotiate with the Izmir club rather than pursue a cut-price or free transfer. Bouajilas current market valuation is around 200,000, a figure that could make him an accessible target for Ujpest if talks progress.
Bouajila has begun to break into senior football at Goztepe, having made four Super Lig appearances so far, while also featuring in youth and reserve competitions. His most eye-catching recent return came for Goztepes U19 side in the U19 Super Lig, where he scored 14 goals in 19 matches, underlining the scoring form that has attracted attention from outside Turkey.
The forward only joined Goztepes first team setup on 1 July 2026 after an initial spell with the clubs U19s, which came during a loan from Finnish side HJK Klubi 04. That pathway, via youth football in Finland and a stint in Austrias Regional League Central, has given Bouajila early experience in different environments despite his age.
Bouajila, a left-footed attacker with dual Tunisian and Finnish nationality, remains tied to a long-term deal at Goztepe, placing the Turkish club in a strong position should Ujpest decide to firm up their interest with a formal offer.
