Mohamed Salah vows to turn Trabzonspor defeat into motivation after Europa League exit

Egypt international Mohamed Salah has insisted he remains fully committed to Trabzonspor despite the Turkish club’s disappointing exit from the Europa League.

Trabzonspor were eliminated by Ferencváros after losing both legs of their qualifying tie, including a heavy 4-0 defeat in Hungary on Thursday.

The result came after the Turkish side had already suffered a 1-0 home defeat in the first leg, leaving them with a difficult task before the return match.

Salah refuses to be discouraged

The Egyptian forward responded to the setback with a message to Trabzonspor supporters, saying difficult moments would only strengthen his determination.

“Nothing in my career has ever come easily. Bad nights and disappointments are part of football, and I’ve learned how to turn them into motivation and championships.”

Salah also reaffirmed his commitment to the Turkish club’s project despite the disappointing European campaign.

“Trabzonspor is my team, and I am part of this project heart and soul, and last night will not change that. I know expectations are high, and I truly believe that we are capable and we will achieve our goals.”

The Egyptian star ended his message by making clear that his ambitions have not changed despite the early setback.

“The phrase ‘I came here to win’ is not just a slogan for me.”

Salah’s comments will come as a boost to Trabzonspor supporters following a difficult European night.
