Salah considers move to MLS with San Diego emerging as option

Mohamed Salah is set to leave Liverpool this summer, bringing an end to nine hugely successful years at Anfield and opening the door to the final big move of his career at 33.

The Egyptian star, central to Liverpool’s Premier League and Champions League triumphs, is now assessing where to write his next chapter.

Journalist Ben Jacobs reports that Salah has plenty of options, with interest coming from clubs in Europe, Saudi Arabia and Major League Soccer. MLS expansion side San Diego FC have emerged as one possible destination, even though their ownership model is understood to prioritise younger profiles for the long term. Despite that strategy, their admiration for Salah remains strong and conversations around a potential deal are expected to continue.

For now, Salah is in no rush to commit and is expected to take his time before choosing his next club. With several top-level offers on the table, his decision will likely balance competitiveness, lifestyle and the chance to become the flagship face of a new project, whether that ends up being in San Diego or elsewhere.
