Saint-Etienne may end up ruing missed opportunities…
Despite Lille’s recent draw against Rennes on Friday, Saint-Etienne had the chance to close the gap to just one point behind them. However, they find themselves trailing Bordeaux by two goals to nil.
The goals came in the 40th minute from A.Ab. Traoré and in the 51st minute from Henrique.
As it stands, Saint-Etienne remains in 4th place, trailing Lille by four points. Lyon, following their victory against Evian, is now just three points behind Saint-Etienne with 34 points, a tally also matched by Bordeaux if they secure a victory.
