Joshua Guilavogui, the midfielder of Guinean origin, believes that the team has not yet fully displayed its potential despite their impressive recent form.
“We showed that we had the level. We had some great matches, some great performances against teams ranked at the top of the rankings, something we weren’t able to achieve last season. We scored a lot of goals. Something is being created. You feel it on a daily basis,” expressed Guilavogui on the official AS Saint-Etienne website.
Although the team faced a setback with the injury to Jérémy Clément, the French Espoirs international is expected to be part of Christophe Galtier’s squad for the upcoming match against Troyes on the 30th day. This game presents an opportunity for Saint-Etienne to temporarily claim the 3rd place in the standings, potentially surpassing Marseille, who play on Sunday.
