Forward Saïd Benrahma has returned to training with Olympique Lyonnais following a period of rest due to a thigh injury.
The Algerian international sustained the injury during the match against Nice on December 1, forcing him to leave the pitch at half-time.
The medical staff decided to take precautions, keeping him out of the following game against Angers on December 7 to avoid aggravating the injury.
However, the decision appears to have been effective, and Benrahma is now fully recovered and back in action.
Since Monday, Benrahma has participated in collective training sessions and is now available for selection ahead of Lyon’s upcoming Europa League fixture against Eintracht Frankfurt on Thursday at Groupama Stadium.
This match is crucial for Lyon, as they aim to strengthen their position in the group stage of the competition.
Lyon coach Pierre Sage will have a near-full squad at his disposal for the game, which is an important opportunity to secure a solid result in European football.
Benrahma has been a standout performer for Lyon this season, particularly in the Europa League. In his five appearances, he has scored one goal and provided one assist.
Overall, the winger has made 14 appearances for Lyon this season, contributing two goals and four assists.
