Former Manchester United striker Louis Saha has urged his old club to make a bold move for Desire Doue, identifying the highly rated Paris Saint-Germain youngster as his dream signing ahead of the summer transfer window.

With United pushing to secure a top-three finish, attention is already turning toward strengthening the squad for a return to Europe’s elite competition.

A recent setback against Leeds United has added pressure ahead of a crucial trip to Chelsea, where maintaining their advantage in the race for Champions League qualification remains vital.

Speaking to BetVictor, Saha highlighted Doue’s explosive qualities and suggested the teenager possesses the attributes to follow in the footsteps of club icon Cristiano Ronaldo.

“If he was available, my dream signing for Man Utd would be Desire Doue. He’s an amazing talent, and I really love his confidence and his work rate. His potential is enormous. That’s why it would really be a matter of breaking the bank. He is like a young (Cristiano) Ronaldo,” Saha said.

While Doue represents an ambitious target, Saha also pointed to alternative options, including Victor Osimhen, who he believes could complement Benjamin Sesko in attack.

Beyond forward reinforcements, the Frenchman stressed the importance of adding steel and creativity in midfield, mentioning players such as Declan Rice and Sandro Tonali as examples of the profile required.

He further noted the need for balance around emerging talents like Kobbie Mainoo and established figures such as Bruno Fernandes, particularly in games that demand tactical flexibility.

United head into the weekend seven points clear of Chelsea, with five Champions League places available this season.

For Saha, securing that objective could prove decisive, not only in retaining momentum but also in convincing top-tier talents like Doue to consider a move to Old Trafford.
