Saeed Issah: Ghanaian defender leaves FC Hermannstadt to become free agent

Ghanaian left-back Saeed Issah has left Romanian side FC Hermannstadt and is now a free agent after his departure from the Liga 2 club was finalised on 23 July 2026.

The 26-year-old defender, born in Accra and standing at 1.88m, had been on the books of Hermannstadt since January 2021, apart from a loan spell at Metaloglobus. His exit brings to an end a significant chapter in his career in Romania, where he has spent the past few seasons establishing himself in senior football.

Issah, a naturally left-footed full-back, first joined Hermannstadt in 2021 after a period without a club, having previously been with Real Valladolid’s under-19 side in Spain. His time in Romania included a season-long loan to Metaloglobus in 2023-24, after which he returned to Hermannstadt in the summer of 2025.

His current market value is listed at €150,000, reflecting his experience in Romanian professional football and his versatility down the left side of defence. The conclusion of his spell at Hermannstadt means he is now unattached and available to sign for a new club.

Issah’s status is officially recorded as without a club following his departure from FC Hermannstadt on a free transfer.
