Ryan Mendes da Graça, known as Ryan Mendes, was born on January 8, 1990, in Cape Verde. The striker, who began his professional career with Académica de Mindelo, caught the attention of European clubs and joined Havre in 2008. After facing challenges in his initial seasons, Mendes scored his first professional goal on January 15, 2011, against Ajaccio in the Ligue 2 Championship.
In 2012, Ryan Mendes signed a four-year contract with LOSC Lille, making his debut against PSG. It took him two months to score his first Ligue 1 goal on October 6, 2012.
