Eric Nshimiyimana has been appointed as the coach of the Rwanda national football team. This decision comes after the Rwandan Football Federation dismissed the Serbian coach, Miludin Sredojevic, due to perceived lack of results. Nshimiyimana, who previously served as an assistant coach, will lead the team in their upcoming World Cup qualifier against Mali.
Célestin Ntagungira, the president of the Rwandan Football Federation, stated that the team’s philosophy is to play for victory, regardless of the opponent. Rwanda currently has 1 point after 3 matches in Group H of the World Cup qualifiers for Brazil 2014.
