Hulk expressed his enthusiasm about the possibility of playing under André Villas-Boas. In an interview with the English magazine Twentyfour7, the Zenit Saint Petersburg striker, who left FC Porto for Russia a year and a half ago for €60 million, is reportedly a target for Tottenham. The London club is rumored to be willing to invest €30 million to secure Hulk’s services.
The Brazilian striker revealed his admiration for Villas-Boas, citing the tactical intelligence he learned from him during their time at FC Porto. Hulk stated, “I learned a lot from Andre Villas-Boas in Porto. He is very tactically intelligent. He was so knowledgeable about the opposing teams that he already knew everything about them when we entered the field. It was creepy how well he knew them. I am very happy that he is making his mark in England, and it would be fantastic to play under him.”
While Hulk is currently contracted with Zenit, the prospect of reuniting with his former coach at Spurs could materialize, especially with the winter transfer window approaching.
