Ruben Compaore: Burkina Faso defender joins Slavia Prague B from FC Dila on long-term deal

Burkina Faso centre-back Ruben Compaore has joined Slavia Prague B from Georgian side FC Dila, signing a contract with the Czech club until 30 June 2030.

The 20-year-old left-footed defender moves to the Czech National Football League outfit after a spell in Georgia’s Erovnuli Liga, where he arrived in February 2026 from Israeli side Ironi Kiryat Shmona’s under-19 team. His switch to Slavia Prague B was completed on 15 July 2026.

Compaore, who stands at 1.92m, is listed primarily as a central defender and will add height and physical presence to the Slavia Prague B back line. His move comes with his market value currently estimated at €50,000.

The transfer marks another step in a rapid rise through European football for the Burkinabe, who left Academie Basga Jo in his homeland in 2024 to join Kiryat Shmona’s youth ranks. Just two years later he has secured a multi-year deal with one of the Czech Republic’s leading clubs’ reserve sides.

Compaore is yet to feature competitively this season and has not made an appearance in UEFA Europa Conference League qualifying, but will now look to establish himself in Czech football over the duration of his four-year contract with Slavia Prague B.
