Belgian giants RSC Anderlecht are interested in signing Germany-born defender of Nigerian descent, David Odogu, who currently plays for VfL Wolfsburg.
VfL Wolfsburg are currently exploring options to reinforce their central defense following the serious injury sustained by Denis Vavro. Among the names being considered are Kristoffer Ajer from Brentford and Sadibou Sane from FC Metz.
Should Wolfsburg secure the services of a new, experienced central defender, 19-year-old Odogu could be on his way out of the club this summer.
According to Sky reporter Florian Plettenberg, several clubs from both the Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2, as well as Belgian outfit Anderlecht, have already expressed interest in securing his services.
Plettenberg further reports that both a loan deal and a permanent transfer are possible for Odogu, who has already attracted significant attention with his performances.
The young defender, who was part of the Germany squad that won both the U17 European Championship and the U17 World Cup, joined Wolfsburg from Union Berlin in the summer of 2020.
Last season, he made his Bundesliga debut, underlining his progress and potential at the senior level.
