RSB Berkane secured their fourth consecutive victory in the Moroccan league, defeating Moghreb Tetouan in a closely contested match that ended 3-2.
The match, postponed from Round 26, saw RSB Berkane rally from a one-goal deficit to claim the win in dramatic fashion, with Moghreb Tetouan playing with ten men from the 36th minute.
Hamza Ghatas opened the scoring for Moghreb Tetouan in the 19th minute before Youssef Diao missed a penalty opportunity in the 29th minute, denying RSB Berkane an equalizer.
However, Diao redeemed himself with another penalty save in the 38th minute, leveling the score this time.
In the second half, Youssef Mhamedi put RSB Berkane ahead in the 51st minute.
Yet, Moghreb Tetouan managed to equalize once again in the 79th minute through a penalty converted by Pape Badji.
It was Jibril Ouattara who ultimately secured the victory for RSB Berkane with a decisive goal in the 85th minute.
RSB Berkane is now gearing up to host Zamalek in the first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup final next Sunday, with the return leg scheduled to take place at Cairo International Stadium on May 19.
Zamalek, having won the Confederation Cup title once before in 2019, defeating RSB Berkane, will be looking to add another trophy to their cabinet in this highly anticipated rematch.
