Royal Air Maroc launches 32 special flights for Morocco fans ahead of 2026 World Cup
Royal Air Maroc has announced a major travel operation ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, introducing 32 special direct flights to help Moroccan supporters follow the Morocco national football team during the group stage of the tournament in the United States.
The airline confirmed that the additional flights will provide more than 8,800 seats for fans travelling to support the Atlas Lions across three host cities: New York, Boston and Atlanta.
The operation will run between June 13 and June 24, with schedules specifically designed around Morocco’s group-stage fixtures and return journeys shortly after each match.
Atlanta Route Marks Historic First for RAM
One of the standout developments in the announcement is the launch of direct flights to Atlanta, marking the first time Royal Air Maroc will operate flights to the southeastern American city.
The airline believes the expanded network will help meet what is expected to be extremely high demand from Moroccan supporters eager to attend the tournament.
Royal Air Maroc CEO Hamid Addou said the company is once again committed to supporting Moroccan fans during a major international football event, following similar initiatives during the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia and the 2022 edition in Qatar.
He added that significant operational and technical resources are being mobilised to ensure smooth travel arrangements for both supporters and the national team.
New York Receives Largest Flight Allocation
New York will receive the largest share of the special flight programme, with 12 additional direct flights scheduled between June 11 and June 15.
More than 3,300 fans are expected to travel through the special operation, while the additional flights will complement RAM’s two regular daily services to New York.
Combined, the airline expects it could transport close to 7,500 supporters to the city during the tournament period.
Boston will also receive 12 dedicated flights operating between June 17 and June 22, with capacity for more than 3,300 fans.
Meanwhile, Atlanta will host eight special flights between June 22 and June 27, allowing over 2,200 supporters to travel.
Ticket Prices and Sales Details Confirmed
All flights will be operated using long-haul wide-body aircraft suitable for transatlantic travel.
To make the journey more accessible for supporters, Royal Air Maroc has introduced a fixed round-trip economy fare of 10,000 Moroccan dirhams.
The airline confirmed that tickets will carry fixed travel dates and will not be refundable.
Sales officially begin on May 20 at 9:00 a.m. through Royal Air Maroc agencies across Morocco and via the Go Lions ticket portal.
