Rot-Weiß Erfurt add German-Angolan striker Mechak Quiala Tito on loan

Mechak Quiala Tito, the German-Angolan centre-forward, has joined Rot-Weiß Erfurt from Fortuna Dusseldorf on loan.

The 20-year-old striker completed the move on 12 August 2026, switching from Dusseldorf’s first team to the Regionalliga Northeast club. His loan agreement runs until 30 June 2027, when he is scheduled to return to Fortuna Dusseldorf.

Tito began his development in the youth system of Viktoria Koln before moving to Dusseldorf in 2018. He progressed through the club’s youth sides, joining Dusseldorf’s Under-17 team in 2021 and later advancing to the Under-19 group.

He moved into Dusseldorf II in July 2024 and was promoted to the senior squad two years later. The transfer to Erfurt gives him a change of club after that progression through the Dusseldorf system.

Born in Siegen, Germany, Tito is eligible to represent both Germany and Angola. He is listed at 1.85m and plays primarily as a centre-forward, with his right foot marked as his preferred foot.

The move comes at the beginning of the 2026-27 campaign. Tito has not yet made an appearance for Dusseldorf in the 3. Liga this season, while Rot-Weiß Erfurt compete in the Regionalliga Northeast.

His recorded market value is €125,000, and his contract with Fortuna Dusseldorf is due to run beyond the loan period. The temporary switch therefore places the young forward with Erfurt for the full season while retaining his registration with Dusseldorf.

Tito’s senior career has so far been shaped by his route through Dusseldorf’s academy and reserve side. He joined Dusseldorf’s youth setup from Viktoria Koln in 2018 on a free transfer, remaining with the club through each age-group stage before moving into senior football.

Rot-Weiß Erfurt have now secured Mechak Quiala Tito’s services on loan from Fortuna Dusseldorf until 30 June 2027.
