Rostom Dendaoui: Algerian defender leaves MC Algiers to become free agent

Algerian centre-back Rostom Dendaoui has left champions MC Algiers and is now a free agent after his departure from the Ligue 1 club was confirmed on 11 July 2026. The 21-year-old, who was part of the side that secured the domestic double last season, has exited the Algiers outfit at a time when his market value stands at around 125,000.

Dendaoui steps away from MC Algiers having broken into the first team during the 2025-26 campaign, following his promotion from the clubs U21 set-up the previous summer. Used primarily in central defence, he featured in both league and cup competitions as MC Algiers went on to win the Algerian championship and the Algerian Super Cup.

The El Hammamet-born defender made league and cup appearances totalling more than 300 senior minutes last term, gaining experience in top-flight football as MC Algiers dominated domestically. His involvement came in a squad competing on multiple fronts, including continental action, as the club looked to translate its domestic success onto a wider stage.

Dendaoui, who was born on 29 June 2005, has developed entirely within the MC Alger structure, progressing from youth ranks to the senior side before deciding to move on this summer. His departure brings an end to his long association with the club that oversaw his pathway into professional football.

With his contract at MC Algiers concluded, Dendaoui now continues his career without a club following his confirmed exit from the Algerian champions.
