Roshn Saudi League return delayed as fixtures are redrawn through to May

The Roshn Saudi League is set to resume on 26 November, with the postponed 13th round scheduled to take place after the international break, according to reports in Saudi Arabia.

The league was suspended after the Asian Cup 2027 was postponed. The Roshn Saudi League had previously postponed the matches in round 13, originally due to be played from 5 to 7 November, without setting a replacement date.

Saudi newspaper Al Riyadiyah reports that the league has prepared a draft calendar covering the remainder of the season. Under the proposed schedule, round 13 would be played from 26 to 28 November.

That would delay the league’s return by a week. Round 14, initially planned for 19 to 21 November, would instead be held from 3 to 5 December.

Round 15 would follow from 10 to 12 December, with round 16 taking place between 15 and 18 December. Round 17 is scheduled for 31 December, 1 January and 2 January.

The January programme would continue with round 18 from 7 to 9 January, round 19 from 14 to 16 January, round 20 from 21 to 23 January and round 21 from 28 to 30 January.

Only four rounds are planned for February because of Asian competition commitments. Round 22 would be played from 4 to 6 February, round 23 from 11 to 13 February, round 24 from 18 to 20 February and round 25 from 25 to 27 February.

Round 26 is scheduled for 11 to 13 March, followed by round 27 from 18 to 20 March. The league would then pause for the international window from 22 to 30 March.

Competition would resume in April with round 28, from 2 to 4 April, followed by round 29 from 8 to 10 April and round 30 from 15 to 17 April.

The final four rounds are due to be played in May. Round 31 is scheduled for 6 to 8 May, round 32 for 12 to 14 May, round 33 for 20 to 22 May and the final round for 28 May.

The King’s Cup last-16 ties are due to take place on 30 November and 1 December, with the quarter-finals scheduled for 1 and 2 February. The semi-finals would be held on 4 and 5 May, followed by the final on either 1 or 2 June.

The Saudi Super Cup will retain its existing dates and is scheduled to be played in Kuwait from 19 to 23 December.

The draft does not yet include proposed dates for some matches postponed from round 10. Among them is the Klassiker between Al Ahli and Al Nassr.
