Ronaldo reportedly open to Mohamed Salah link-up at Al-Nassr
Multiple reports in Saudi Arabia suggest that Al-Nassr captain Cristiano Ronaldo would welcome the arrival of Liverpool star Mohamed Salah, though he is prioritising the club’s current title push before any transfer talks intensify.
The former Chelsea and AS Roma forward will leave the Premier League side this summer.
Al-Nassr have emerged as strong contenders in the race to sign the Egyptian international ahead of the summer window, with Salah’s contract situation at Liverpool fuelling speculation over a potential free transfer move.
The Saudi Pro League side are said to be preparing a major push for the forward as they look to strengthen their attacking options.
According to Goal’s Saudi edition, Salah’s future remains open as his time at Liverpool edges towards its conclusion, attracting interest from several top clubs, including those in Saudi Arabia.
The report adds that Al-Nassr view the 32-year-old as a marquee signing capable of forming a high-profile attacking partnership with Ronaldo, a prospect that has generated significant excitement among supporters.
However, Ronaldo is said to support the idea in principle while stressing that transfer discussions should be delayed until the current Saudi Pro League title race is resolved in the 2025/26 season.
The Portuguese forward reportedly believes the squad must remain fully focused on on-field objectives before turning attention to recruitment.
