Romelu Lukaku linked with emotional return to Anderlecht as Napoli future fades

Romelu Lukaku’s time at Napoli appears increasingly uncertain, with growing reports suggesting the Belgian striker could be on his way out of Italy.

After a challenging season marked by injuries and reduced minutes on the pitch, the 32-year-old is no longer seen as a regular starter in Naples. His situation has sparked fresh speculation about what comes next in his career.

Belgian outlet Voetbalkrant reports that Lukaku is being strongly linked with a return to RSC Anderlecht, the club where his professional journey began. The striker was recently seen at the Neerpede training centre, where he watched his son train, further fueling talk of a possible reunion.

Off the pitch, Lukaku is also said to be building a luxury home in Dilbeek, close to Anderlecht’s stadium. The development is being viewed as a potential sign that he is preparing for a long-term stay back in Belgium.

Having scored 41 goals in 98 appearances during his first spell at Anderlecht, Lukaku could now be considering a sentimental return as he enters the later stages of his career.
