Romelu Lukaku Linked with Juventus Move Amid Allegri’s Ambitions
Italian newspapers Tuttosport and La Gazzetta dello Sport report that Romelu Lukaku is a top transfer target for Juventus ahead of the new season. Massimiliano Allegri, recently appointed Juventus coach, reportedly sees the Chelsea striker as the ideal addition to bolster his attacking options.
Juve aim to add a powerful striker to complement Carlos Tevez and Fernando Llorente, who together scored 39 league goals last season. Allegri is keen on increasing competition within the squad to keep his forwards sharp.
Lukaku, born in Belgium to Congolese parents, has gained valuable experience during loan spells at West Bromwich Albion and Everton but remains surplus to Chelsea’s plans under José Mourinho. Though the prospect of starring at a prestigious club like Juventus might appeal to the young striker, Chelsea’s owner Roman Abramovich is demanding a hefty transfer fee.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Abramovich has set a €40 million price tag for Lukaku, a significant sum that Juventus will have to consider carefully if they are to secure the Belgian forward.
As the transfer window heats up, Lukaku’s future remains uncertain, but a move to Serie A could provide a new chapter for the promising striker.
