Roma 2-2 Inter Milan: Lautaro Martinez leads Nerazzurri comeback at the Olimpico

Inter Milan recovered from two goals down to draw 2-2 with Roma in an absorbing Serie A encounter at the Stadio Olimpico on Saturday.

Roma appeared in control after Kwadwo Kone struck twice, but Lautaro Martinez scored in each half to rescue a point for the visitors in the fifth round of the league season.

Roma made the faster start and took the lead in the sixth minute. Kone finished to put the hosts ahead and give Inter Milan an early setback.

Inter Milan responded immediately after the restart. Martinez reduced the deficit in the 46th minute, giving the Nerazzurri renewed momentum and setting up a tense second half.

Roma continued to defend their lead, but Inter Milan eventually completed their recovery in the 79th minute. Martinez scored his second of the evening with a powerful strike to make it 2-2.

The result left Roma top of Serie A on 13 points, with Inter Milan level on the same tally in second place behind them on goal difference.
