Roberto De Zerbi’s challenge: Amine Harit must deliver 10 goals a season

Amine Harit

Amine Harit, 27, has been a key figure for Olympique Marseille this season, dazzling in the early fixtures with two goals and three assists across his first nine starts.

However, his trajectory took a sharp turn in October’s heated Le Classique when an early red card saw him exit the match after just 20 minutes.

Since then, Harit has been absent from the team, initially sidelined by a calf injury in November. His prolonged absence has sparked speculation about his future, with reports suggesting Marseille may entertain offers for the Moroccan international during the upcoming transfer window.

Despite the uncertainty, manager Roberto De Zerbi remains optimistic about Harit’s potential. In an interview with 1899 Le Mag, De Zerbi emphasized his commitment to helping the midfielder elevate his game.

“He no longer has the right to have a season where he doesn’t score ten goals. I push him, I tell him that constantly,” said De Zerbi, signaling his belief in Harit’s ability to be a consistent scoring threat moving forward.
