RM Castilla add 21-year-old Ghana defender Oscar Naasei in €2m deal

Ghanaian centre-back Oscar Naasei has joined RM Castilla from Granada CF in a €2m move that takes the 21-year-old into Spain’s third tier.

Naasei has signed a contract with RM Castilla until 30 June 2029. The transfer was completed on 27 August 2026, with the defender moving from Granada’s LaLiga2 squad to the Primera Federacion – Group II.

The right-footed defender, who stands 1.85m tall, has made two LaLiga2 appearances during the 2026-27 campaign. He has played 40 minutes in the competition, starting neither match, and has not scored or provided an assist.

Naasei joined Granada CF from Recre Granada on 1 July 2025, having previously progressed from Granada CF Under-19s. His move to RM Castilla marks the latest step in a Spanish career that began after he left Emmanuel City for Granada’s youth set-up in July 2023.

The Ghanaian has been valued at €1.5m, with the completed transfer fee standing above that figure. His arrival gives RM Castilla a defender with experience of senior football in Spain’s second division, despite his limited appearances at that level.

RM Castilla compete in the Primera Federacion – Group II, while Granada remain in LaLiga2. The move therefore places Naasei in a different division as he begins his contract with his new club.

Naasei’s senior record before the transfer consists of his two league appearances for Granada in the 2026-27 season. He now continues his development in the RM Castilla squad under a deal running for three years beyond the current campaign.

The transfer brings his two-year association with Granada to an end, following his progression through the club’s youth structure and spell with Recre Granada. The completed €2m move was registered on 27 August 2026.
