Riyad Mahrez shines with stunning goal against Al Sadd in AFC Champions League

Algerian international Riyad Mahrez was the star of the night as Al Ahli secured a 2-1 victory over Al Sadd in Doha during the fourth round of the AFC Champions League group stage.

Mahrez opened the scoring in the first half with a moment of brilliance: after Enzo Millot recovered the ball near the opponent’s corner, he found Mahrez at the edge of the box. Mahrez deftly let the ball run through his legs, shifted it onto his right foot, and blasted home a beautiful finish in the 34th minute.

This goal marked Mahrez’s fourth goal of the season and his third in the AFC Champions League campaign. Shortly afterwards, Claudinho equalized for Al Sadd in the 63rd minute, but Matheus Gonçalves quickly restored Al Ahli’s lead at 58 minutes.

Youcef Atal made a late appearance for Al Ahli, coming on in the 59th minute. The win puts Al Ahli in second place in the group, just two points behind leaders Al Hilal.
