Riyad Mahrez earns nearly $1 million from business

Riyad Mahrez may currently be without a club, but the Algerian star remains active in a lucrative world away from football.

After his contract with Al-Ahli ended at the conclusion of last season, the winger is unattached for the 2026-27 campaign and watching professional matches from the sidelines.

Despite that uncertainty, Mahrez continues to hold considerable commercial value. Estimates from Sportico suggest his business interests outside football generate close to $1 million. His profile, international reputation and success at Manchester City and Leicester City have helped him attract global brands.

Nike remains his principal commercial partner, supplying his footwear and clothing. However, Mahrez has also worked with several other major companies over the years, including messaging platform Rakuten Viber, Algerian telecommunications operator Djezzy and PepsiCo.

His influence extends beyond traditional sponsorships. Mahrez has represented Saudi Arabia through the country’s sports ambassador programme, joining prominent names such as Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema.

Although his next football destination remains unknown, Mahrez’s commercial career continues to provide stability. A return to club football could increase his visibility further, but his value away from the pitch is already well established.
