Rida El Mahdi: Morocco winger joins Beni Mellal on free transfer

Morocco winger Rida El Mahdi has joined Beni Mellal from Kenitra on a free transfer.

The 28-year-old right winger completed the move on 16 September 2026, beginning his latest spell with a club from the Moroccan football system after leaving Kenitra. El Mahdi is able to play with either foot and stands at 1.83m.

El Mahdi spent the second half of the 2025-26 season with Kenitra, having arrived from O. Khouribga on a free transfer in January. His move to Kenitra followed another free transfer from Khemisset in August 2025.

Before joining Khemisset, El Mahdi had been with Widad Temara, switching clubs in September 2024. He had previously represented Al-Wefaq Ly after leaving TAS Casablanca, while his senior career began with FAR Reserve before a free transfer to TAS Casablanca in 2020.

The winger has recorded four appearances and one goal in the Coupe du Trone Marocaine, with a further four appearances in the CAF Confederation Cup. Those matches account for his available competitive record in the two listed competitions.

El Mahdi’s arrival gives Beni Mellal an experienced Moroccan wide player with a career that has included spells at several domestic clubs. His move from Kenitra is the latest change in a sequence of transfers completed without a fee.

The transfer was completed on 16 September, with El Mahdi now registered as a Beni Mellal player.
