Riade Mouyette: Algeria defender joins US Biskra on free transfer from Manningham
Algeria and France-qualified centre-back Riade Mouyette has joined US Biskra on a free transfer from Australian side Manningham. The 27-year-old defender moves into Algeria’s top flight after leaving the NPL Victoria club at the end of his spell in Melbourne.
Mouyette, a right-footed central defender, arrives at US Biskra after a solid stint in Australia, where he featured regularly for Manningham following his move there in January 2026 from Melbourne Sharks. His switch marks a return to North African football and places him directly into a Ligue 1 campaign with Biskra.
During his most recent season in NPL Victoria, Mouyette made 19 appearances and accumulated close to 1,600 minutes of action, underlining his status as a consistent presence in the back line. He also has experience in French cup football, having featured in the Coupe de France earlier in his career.
The defender’s path to US Biskra has taken him from France to Australia, including spells at Riom and FC Cournon before heading to North Sunshine, Melbourne Sharks and then Manningham. That journey has given him experience in both European and Australian competitions, as he now prepares to test himself in Algeria’s top division.
Mouyette’s arrival adds another defensive option for US Biskra, with the move confirmed as a free transfer from Manningham.
