In-demand National Bank SC forward Osama Faisal turned down an offer from Egyptian giants, Al Ahly to stay at the club.

The 24-year-old enterprising forward attracted significant interest from several clubs including Al Ahly, who were keen on securing the signature of Faisal Osama in the summer window, but opted to stay at the club.

Faisal performed admirably last season for National Bank, making him one of the most sought-after attackers in the scenes.

Al Ahly held talks to sign Faisal at the beginning of the season, but preferred to remain with National Bank SC, a decision the club respected without focusing on financial matters.

Meanwhile, club chairman, Ashraf Nassar, has confirmed his sides’ readiness to cash in on the attacker after the Africa Cup of Nations tournament to be staged in Morocco later this year.

“We are open to selling Osama Faisal after the Africa Cup of Nations, depending on good offers that may be presented locally or abroad.”

“Al-Ahly’s players weren’t at their best at the start of the league, but we won’t stand in the way of any player leaving if the offer is appropriate and the desires of the technical staff and the player are in line with that.”

Faisal has made five appearances in the Premier League for Nations Bank SC this season, scoring just one goal across the period.

The forward, who has eleven caps for the Egyptian national team has a contract that will expire in summer 2027 at National Bank SC.
