HABIB HABIBOU LOANED TO SAMARA FROM STADE RENNAIS
After just one season at Stade Rennais, Mahamadou Habib Habibou is set for a new adventure. According to Footmercato, the Central African Republic striker is being loaned out by the French club to Russian side Samara.
Habibou, who joined Rennes last summer from Belgium, struggled to secure regular playing time and now faces increased competition from in-form Giovanni Sio, the Ivorian forward who arrived from SC Bastia and has had a strong start to the season.
The loan deal includes an option to buy, although the exact fee has not been disclosed. Habibou will now aim to revive his form and confidence in the Russian Premier League.
